Syep Worksite Agreement

Thank you for your interest in the Summer Youth Work Program (SYEP). Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and concerned about the health and safety of all New Yorkers, we made the difficult decision not to operate the SYEP this summer. If you are interested in becoming a new construction site, information will be available early next year. If you are a current employer of SYEP, we look forward to your understanding and look forward to the 2021 summer employment program. Our participants are motivated and talented 14-24 year olds who are interested in a career in the private, non-profit and public sectors. SYEP participants are the future of urban staff. Employers can use new ideas and opportunities for young people. Hosting SYEP participants can provide additional management opportunities to develop the supervisory and tutoring skills of your employees NOTE: New job requests will no longer be accepted for 2019. SYEP subscribers are paid directly by the DYCD and do not inc afford additional costs for your organization`s Summer Employment Program (SYEP), which offers youth aged 14 to 24 summer paid employment for up to six weeks in July and August. Participants work in a large number of entry-level jobs in the voluntary and private sector. SYEP prepares young people to work with workshops on career propensity, career exploration, financial skills and opportunities for training and social growth in the workplace.
